What! No messy fingers? No plastic?

Zero plastic. No mess application. That’s right - we’ve formulated this to be in game-changing cardboard tubes. They’re compostable and when empty can simply be put into your home compost or buried in the garden. Or if they do get thrown into the rubbish, at least they’re not plastic. To apply simply push it up one or two millimetres, then apply light swipes in your armpits. It doesn’t take much to be effective.

Our deodorants are available in two sizes: - 28g Travel Size (also good for trying it out) - 85g Standard Size (better value, easier to apply) The range includes beautiful, gentle fragrances to keep you smelling nice: - Grapefruit & Lavender (vegan-friendly) - Lemon & Mint (vegan-friendly) - Cedarwood & Vanilla (vegan-friendly and baking soda-free) - Lime & Vetiver (with beeswax) - Rose Geranium (with beeswax)* - Ylang Ylang & Juniper (with beeswax) *New mid-2021 We also have an unscented version (also vegan-friendly and baking soda-free) that won’t interfere with any perfume or cologne you’re wearing, or if you find yourself particularly sensitive to essential oils.

The backstory

To be honest, we were initially sceptical that a natural deo could work. Surely all they do is just mask the smell, right? But after about a decade with one of us (no naming, no shaming) being rather stinky, no matter which roll-on was used, anything was on the cards for trying. Much formulating later and the results were mind-blowing. Plenty of refining and testing followed, along with packaging experimentation so we could bring you our eco-friendly tubes. And THAT is the backstory to developing this deo! Since then they’ve been used by thousands, with converts all over New Zealand. We’ve heard happy stories of odour-free days from all manner of people - office workers, people exercising, etc. It’s even stood up to hot days working outside concreting and surveying.

Baking soda OR baking soda-free

In the right proportion, baking soda is a powerful ingredient for stopping body odour - the best we have tried and we recommend it for most people. But it works because it’s very alkaline and quite soluble, and some skin just can’t handle it (or too much is applied…). As an alternative for those unable to tolerate baking soda, we use magnesium hydroxide. It is nearly as effective, but much gentler on the skin. Most people won’t notice any difference in effectiveness. BS or no BS - it’s your choice!

Do our deodorants work?

YES! Do they ever! The combination of nourishing, naturally antibacterial oils and either baking soda or magnesium hydroxide works hard to keep you smelling fresh all day - even when you’re working hard too. Your body still does what it should be doing - sweating (it’s an important natural process).
